NBA Europe Live 2009 in GREAT BRITAIN

As part of Europe Live 2009 presented by EA SPORTS™ on Saturday 3 October 2009, NBA legend Darryl Dawkins and a member of the Great Britain National Basketball Team’s coaching staff joined NBA Cares to host a basketball Clinic for more than 60 athletes from Special Olympics Great Britain (SOGB).  Athletes had come from Greater London (Hammersmith & Fulham, Ealing, Merton), South East (Kent, Surrey) and Eastern (St. Albans) regions.

The clinic focused on the fundamentals of the game including shooting, dribbling and passing.  This was the second consecutive year that NBA Cares held the clinic with Special Olympics Great Britain. Following NBA Europe Live 2009, more than 120 Special Olympics athletes have participated in the London clinic.  NBA Cares and Special Olympics put on a second Basketball clinic in Madrid with the Utah Jazz on 7 October 2009.

The Chicago Bulls took on the Utah Jazz  on Tuesday, 6 October 2009, at the O2 Arena for NBA Europe Live 2009 presented by EA SPORTS™.
