There is a real catastrophe in Istanbul and dozens of people have died in the floods that hit the city on Wednesday morning, September 9.  First I want to say how sad I am to read and hear and see the pictures of this and my thoughts are with the people in Turkey at this devastating time for them. 

As a consequence from the emergency situation in Istanbul it was agreed with the leadership of Special Olympics Turkey that the upcoming European Youth Unified Football Tournament in Istanbul to be held September 30-October 4 is postponed to spring 2010.
