Experience of a Life Time for MONTENEGRO Athlete

(16 June 2009)

My name is Jadranka Jokic and I am 18 years old. I live in Bijela, Montenegro. I have a lot of friends here. I enjoy playing and walking with them. I love listen the music, sing and dance.

I became a Special Olympics athlete two years ago and I am very proud for that. I like Special Olympics competitions because I met new friends.  I like table tennis, ski and athletics and practice table tennis a lot because it is my favorite sport.

The important events in my life were taking a part to Special Olympics Games in Shanghai in October 2007 and Special Olympics World Winter Games in Boise in February this year. As it was yesterday I remember the preparations, departure with my coaches and my friends and finally the arrival to the Games. I like these towns so much. I enjoyed it a lot, in my room in hotel, in walk and in all other things in all. I met a lot of volunteers and some of them are my friends now. I got a lot of gifts from family where I was located in Boise. Everything was so amazing, especially when I got medals. All of us were so happy because of that. I kept my medals well and hope that they will be more.
